Baraka Farm — Homegrown
A permaculture homestead rooted in Islamic ethics — raising animals and growing food that is not only permissible, but pure, wholesome, and blessed.
Discover Our FarmBaraka Farm was born from a conviction that true halal is about far more than the moment of slaughter. It is about the entire life of the animal — how it was fed, how it lived, how it was treated. This is the spirit of Tayyab: pure, wholesome, and good in every sense.
Rooted in permaculture design and guided by Islamic principles, we are stewards of the earth — we work with nature rather than against it. Every decision on this farm is made with the land, the animals, and the people we feed in mind.
Get in TouchNestled in the boreal forest outside Sundre, Alberta, Baraka Farm is a permaculture homestead designed to work in harmony with nature. We raise a diverse mix of livestock alongside a productive garden and year-round solar greenhouse.
Every animal on the farm is raised without vaccines or hormones, fed locally sourced organic feed, and given the space and conditions to live naturally. Our land is managed using permaculture principles — building healthy soil, working within natural cycles, and growing without synthetic chemicals.
All of our animals are slaughtered according to Tayyab principles, ensuring our meat is not only halal, but raised and processed with the ihsan (excellence) and rahma (mercy) that Islamic ethics demand at every stage — from birth to table.
